Marcasites are known as "Black Diamonds"; they are formed from Hematite – an iridescent black-grey stone found in the mountains of the English Lake District. Large crystals have so much lustre that they used to be used as mirrors!

A Stylish and Attractive Sterling Silver Ring set with large Marcasites.
In the centre, there are seven large Sparkling rose-cut Marcasites in a double Diamond-shaped pattern.
On either side, there are two more Marcasites with shoulders which are delightfully transverse fluted.

A Superb Art Deco Sterling Silver Ring studded with Quality Garnets and Marcasites.
There are nine oval brilliant-cut deep Rich Red Wine-coloured Garnets, weighing approx. 4 ½ carats.
These Shimmering Garnets are complemented by sixteen rose-cut Sparkling Marcasites. The shoulders and shank are attractively fluted, and very substantial.
