The quadrants of Mother-of-Pearl are convex and iridescent with reflected light.
In between, there is a ‘cross’ of sparkling rose-cut Marcasites.
The centre is another Marcasite in a diamond shape.

In fact, all the way round the shank, it looks like two snakes moulded together!
