A Delightfully attractive Sterling Silver brooch typical of the Art
Nouveau period (1890-1914) set with a Quality Opal.
The Fairy is well defined, with embossed wings and long flowing dress,
giving a three-dimensional effect, and leaning over grasping the oval
Opal in her hands.
The Opal reflects a
stunning variety of colours – a kaleidoscope of an ever-changing
variety of Beautiful dancing colours and forms.
With a good weight of Sterling Silver, she measures 2 ¼ inches by 1
inch.
There is a long pin at the back with a safety clasp, for use as a
Brooch.
The included chain is a smooth ‘snake’ chain for comfort when
wearing, with a good sprung clasp, and is 18 inches long.

A Shimmering and Beautiful Opal and Diamante Butterfly Brooch
set in Sterling Silver.
At the centre, there is an iridescent Opal measuring 10mm., by 7mm., and reflecting a stunning variety
of colours – a kaleidoscope of an ever-changing variety of Beautiful
dancing colours and forms.
The eyes and the rest of the body are Diamantes, and the whole of the
wings are encrusted with sparkling brilliant-cut Diamantes, making a
dazzling display. A Real Statement.
In Excellent Condition, it measures over 1 ¾ inches across by 1 ½
inches down.

A Graceful and Attractive Victorian Sterling Silver Lover’s Double
Heart Brooch, set with Beautiful white stones.
The two Silver Love-hearts are
firmly united side by side, hand engraved all the way round, each
containing three old mine-cut stones. These are claw-set and form the
fruit on the stem. At the bottom there is another link with a flower and
leaves.
The original ‘c’ clasp and pin are in Excellent Condition, as is the
whole Brooch.
It measures 1 ½ inches across by 1
inch down.

SCOTTISH CITRINE/STONE BROOCH

An Unusual Aristocratic Sterling Silver Scottish Openwork Brooch with
Citrines, Malachite and Jasper!
It has an unusual square-diamond shape, and features a sparkling
brilliant-cut Citrine (approx. 1 carat) in the centre.
There are 4 smaller Citrines on the ‘points’ of the diamond.
Between these, there are 2 convex, bevelled sections of Malachite and
two of Jasper.
Perfectly smooth, their colours complement each other and the Citrine.
In Sterling Silver, the settings are engraved with leaves and patterns.
The pin on the reverse has a safety catch to prevent loss or injury.
This dramatic Scottish Victorian
Heraldic Brooch consists of a Huge, Clear, faceted Citrine weighing
approx. Six Carats.
This is claw set, and framed by a beautifully engraved silver shield which
is inset with bevelled Malachite and Jasper.
The crown at the top is set with three Impressive cabochon Garnets which
are collet set.
This substantial brooch is full of character, in heavy sterling silver.
The pin at the rear has a safety catch for security.
It is in excellent condition, and would be suitable for either sex as a
brooch or a badge.
It measures just under 2 inches by just under 1 ½ inches across.
A Discrete and Beautiful Miniature
Sterling Silver Butterfly Brooch set with Garnets and Marcasites.
The body is a deep rich red oval Garnet, approx. ¾ carat weight.
The shaped wings are set with sparkling Marcasites.
(Marcasites are known as “Black
Diamonds” because they look very similar to Antique rose-cut Diamonds.
They are formed from Hematite – an iridescent black-grey stone found
in the mountains of the English Lake District. Large crystals have so
much lustre that they used to be used as mirrors!)
It measures 18mm. by 17mm., and is
perfectly formed, as a Butterfly, in Sterling Silver.
The pin at the back is diagonal and has a safety catch.

Brooch, set with Green Agate, Garnets and Marcasites, c.1920.
The centre is a fine cabochon Green Agate, polished and smooth (15mm.x
12mm).
This is surrounded by 10 faceted Garnets (around 1 carat), with 2 more on
either side.
The rest of this Beautiful Brooch is set with graduated sparkling rose-cut
Marcasites
The pin and safety catch are original and in Excellent
Condition.
It measures 2 ¼ inches by just over 1 inch, and comes in a presentation
box.

Oval in shape, this Brooch boasts a pair of shaped cabochon smooth
