GEORGIAN BUCKLE/CHOKER/SCARF RING c. 1800
(Ref: 3345)

Georgian paste buckle

This Gorgeous Georgian buckle dates from c. 1800. It consists of 23 well-cut paste stones, which are indistinguishable from Diamonds!
These are set into an oval silver-gilt mount, which is also convex in shape.
The reverse still has the original bar, which would allow conversion to a brooch, if required.
Without alteration, it could be used as a SPECTACULAR CHOKER or BRACELET, by simply threading some velvet through the bar!
It could also be worn as a FANTASTIC SCARF-RING.
The beautiful stones look just like Diamonds, and only an expert would know otherwise!
At 200 years old, this buckle is in excellent condition, and measures 45mm.
