BUCKLE/CHOKER/SCARF RING c. 1800

This Gorgeous Georgian buckle dates
from c. 1800. It consists of 23 well-cut paste stones, which are
indistinguishable from Diamonds!
These are set into an oval silver-gilt mount, which is also convex in
shape.
The reverse still has the original bar, which would allow conversion to a
brooch, if required.
Without alteration, it could be used as a SPECTACULAR CHOKER or BRACELET,
by simply threading some velvet through the bar! It could also be worn as a FANTASTIC SCARF-RING.
The beautiful stones look just like Diamonds, and only an expert would
know otherwise!
At 200 years old, this buckle is in excellent condition, and measures
45mm.

CORNELIAN AGATE SEAL

This
is simply a wonderfully smooth agate, set into a silver-gilt fob.
It is lavishly ornamented and very beautiful.
It would be very impressive worn around the neck, wrist or on a
chatelaine, or just as an interesting collector’s piece.
In perfect condition, it measures 27mm.

MARCASITE HATPIN

An Unusual, decorative Art Nouveau
Hatpin!
It is shaped like a flower with pendant leaves, similar to the Iris.
There is a rose-cut Marcasite in the centre, and the leaves are festooned
with Marcasites.(Marcasites
are formed from Hematite – an iridescent stone found in the English Lake
District. Large pieces were once used as mirrors!)
Set inSterling Silver, the
rod is also Silver, as is the protective barrel, which can be easily
removed.
It could be worn on the lapel for a distinctive and unusual adornment!
Also Ideal in a Hat for a Special Occasion! (Wedding!)
It is 6 inches long, and is in perfect condition.

ART NOUVEAU EMBOSSED MIRROR

A Beautiful
embossed decorative Art Nouveau mirror in 18 carat gold on silver!
The back of the mirror has the cameo head of a young woman, framed by
flowers and ornamentation.
The handle has lots of ornamentation, too, typical of the Art Nouveau
period 1890-1910.
In Excellent
Condition, including the surface of the mirror.
It is just under 4 ½ inches long by 1 ¾ at the widest.
SUPERB HAND-CARVED NETSUKE MOUSE

An
Exquisite carving of a mouse features in this Netsuke!
Carved in Tagua nut (which looks exactly like Ivory), this delightful
mouse has real black Agate eyes.
It is clinging onto an oval box with Avocado or nut sections carved into
it.
Netsuke is a small Japanese carved ornament, once used to fasten small
objects (e.g. a purse or pouch for tobacco, medicines etc.) to a sash,
worn round the waist, in traditional costume.
There is a Japanese signature on the side of the box.
It measures 2 inches by 1½
inches, and is in Excellent
Condition.
