A Distinguished, Exquisite and very Impressive Vintage Necklace set with Seven large Genuine Crystal Stones.
They are beautifully clear, oval, and brilliant-cut, so they sparkle, too.
The centre (dropper) measures 25mm. by 17mm; the smallest (at the ends) measure 22mm. by 16mm. The Carat weight is colossal.
They are set in raised collars of 18 carat Gold on Silver. Crystal has long been believed to have healing properties, across many cultures.

A Delightful and Elegant Antique Gold Garland Necklace, typical of the Victorian era c. 1890, set with cabochon Garnets, and seed Pearls.
The centre is a large cabochon Garnet, measuring 14mm. by 11mm. and weighing approx. Seven Carats.
It is surrounded by eleven lustrous seed Pearls, and a further eleven cabochon Garnets.
The Garnets are a luxurious deep rich red wine colour, and set in Gold collars for comfort when wearing.
There is an oval Garnet dropper below.
Slices of Garnet have been used in windows in Churches and Temples in the past, and Legend has it that Noah suspended Garnet in the Ark in order to dispense Light.
Garnets are also known to have curative effects. Garnets have helped to overcome sorrow, bringing vital power, spirit, and feelings of Joy.

On either side of the centre, there are two sets of triple Garnets, each with a seed Pearl at the centre.

This is a Magnificent Quality Necklace consisting of shaped Red Coral on a 22 carat Gold fastener.
Typical of the Art Deco period (c. 1920-1930), each large Coral piece measures approx 18mm by 9mm., and has been cut and polished in an unusual and attractive shape.
There are smaller pieces of Coral between these, and the smaller pieces continue up to the Gold fastener. There must be hundreds of Carats of beautiful Coral.
Coral has been a popular material for Jewellery since Antiquity, and was valued, not only for its colour, but also for its perceived Magical Powers. It was worn to ward off evil, and even used for medicinal purposes in the Middle Ages. Due to the effects of pollution, Coral is getting hard to find. Antique Coral is a very good Investment.
The 22 Carat Gold fastener is a simple and sturdy ornamented ‘S’ shape making it easy to put on and secure for wearing.

Each gilded Gold on Silver Crescent is skilfully pierced through and engraved, to reveal flowers, leaves, and sinuous tendrils. 
The edges are finished with millepoint work.

This genuine Pinchbeck chain once carried a watch and fob attached to a waistcoat. It has been sensitively converted to a necklace choker. Weighing 24 grams, it could be converted back or made into two bracelets.

PINCHBECK
Pinchbeck was used for chains (and other Jewellery) in the 18^th.century, and first half of the 19^th. Century., as a less expensive alternative to 18carat gold. Pinchbeck items are now RARER than gold ones, and are therefore sought after, and relatively expensive. 
Pinchbeck wears and tarnishes less than gold, so chains, for example, tend to be in good condition. Workmanship on Pinchbeck Jewellery is usually of the same standard used for 18carat gold, as this one is.
