An Exquisite, Beautiful, and Spectacular Mid-Victorian Diamond Star Pendant, and Brooch, set in 18 carat White Gold, c. 1850.  
This is a Top Quality Pendant which converts to a Brooch. It is encrusted with Three Carats of First-Class Rare Old-Cut and Rose-Cut Diamonds. 
The ‘flower’ cluster in the centre contains Seven Quality Large Old-Cut Diamonds. The centre Diamond is ½ carat with smaller ones around it. The total here is approx. 1 ¾ carats of rare Diamonds.
These are raised slightly, and there are many more Sparkling Diamonds set into the radiating arms of the Star. The longer arms have five Diamonds, the shorter arms three, with the remainder having four. These are a mixture of Old European Cuts and Rose-Cuts, and total approx. 1.30 carats. This brings the total carat weight of Diamonds to approx. 3 carats.
All set in 18 carat White Gold.
At the back of the Pendant there is a pin (with safety catch) for use as a Brooch.
There is a Unique arrangement whereby the pin, catch and support unscrews completely, for removal. This simple and ingenious method ensures that the Jewel is quick to convert and comfortable to wear at all times, as a Pendant or a Brooch.
There is a generous bale at the back, which will take most sizes of chain.
The present chain has a fine and strong link in 18 carat White Gold, 20 inches long, with a good sprung bolt ring clasp.
This Stunning combination Brooch and Pendant measures 40mm., by 34mm. at the widest, and is in Excellent Condition. A Good Investment.

This Beautiful Georgian Pique Brooch has a ‘star’ or ‘cross’ shape in the centre, consisting of symmetrical shapes of iridescent Mother-of-Pearl interspersed with loops and spirals of gold wire.
Around this, the Mother-of-Pearl is inlaid in ovals and leaf shapes, on a rope-twist stem with more gold and silver spirals between.
The outside edge of the brooch is pierced through in attractive circular loops. A very Unusual and Attractive Brooch showing great craftsmanship and skill from the Early 19^th Century!
There are some signs of repair under 12x magnification (which have been professionally done), but this does not show, or detract from the Quality and Character of the piece. In very good condition, it measures 45 mm. across.

It is framed in a mount with a gentle twist, with applied decoration to the ‘corners’.
