This is an Exquisite and Very Fine example of Quality Artistry in a Beautiful Cameo carving on Mother-of-Pearl.
The scene depicts a village in 19^th Century Japan. The houses and roofs (and tiles) are clearly visible. There is a fruit-bearing tree and flora. Most interesting, though, are the villagers. Each one is a Work of Art.
They are in Oriental dress and are busy in the village. The extraordinarily detailed carving shows the faces and expressions of the people, as they go about their tasks.
This superb detail is best viewed through a magnifying glass.
Also, with movement, the Mother-of-Pearl displays a kaleidoscope of ever-changing subtle pinks and greens.
It is set in a very attractive double rope-twist frame, with original ‘c’ clasp and pin.
It measures 2 inches by 1 ¾ inches and is in Pristine Condition.

This excellent Georgian Brooch is in 22 carat gold, in excellent condition, and top of its class!
The raised centre is beautifully set with 7 seed Pearls.
At the base is a gold rope twist frame decorated with small spheres.
Around this, are double curls of Fine Gold, accented by flowers and leaves, and linked together with a double rope twist.
The rear of the Brooch has an original oval bevelled glass in a gold frame.
This reveals finely worked hair set with 3 seed Pearls, and gold thread.
There is also a loop for a safety chain.
The pin is original, and gold too.
It is all in first class condition, dating from c. 1830-1840. An excellent Investment!
It measures 38 mm by 25 mm.

A Beautiful collector’s piece from the 1820’s!
The bevelled glass in the centre covers plaited hair.
This is surrounded by Pearls set in tiny millepoint claws.
Around this, are 14 hand-cut Almandine Garnets.
The original pin and hinge are in Excellent Condition.
A slight discoloration under the glass does not distract from the character of this very interesting and exquisite Historical Brooch.

A Large unique, Antique Brooch, festooned with Amethysts!

There is a centre brilliant-cut Amethyst of over 1 carat.
This is framed by a double ‘fleur-de-Lys’ pattern.
Radiating outwards from this in a ‘star’ pattern, there are 6 rows of graduated Amethysts.
They are set in an attractive swirling oval mount, which is pierced through.
A locking pin on the reverse, and all in Excellent Condition.
It measures 2 ¾ inches by 1 ¾ inches.

An Illuminating Hand-painted Antique Brooch!
The painting is of a young woman in a pale blue Victorian Costume, holding a Rose.
In her other hand she is carrying a Parasol, and there are more flowers around her.
It is hand-painted in oil or enamel.
Measuring just over 1 ¾ inches by just under 1 ½ inches, it is in Excellent Condition.
The pin, ‘c’ clasp and painting is all original.
